We get upset when a court rules against the will of the majority. We hold rallies & demonstrations when they start removing flags and statues. We pray for peace when we are confronted by acts of terrorism. We draw lines in the sand over masks! And I’m not saying we should or shouldn’t feel this way. But why aren’t we doing anything in our homes? Why aren’t we teaching our children God’s Word? Why aren’t we showing them the way and the truth? Why are we more concerned over masks than our children’s eternal salvation? Why are we teaching them hate instead of teaching them why a person’s actions against God breaks our hearts? Why aren’t we showing them to pray? Why are we trying to treat the symptoms instead of curing the disease? Why do we prepare them for fires, tornadoes, or active shooters, but we don’t prepare them for eternity? One thing is certain. Jesus is going to return. Whether we are alive or dead when that happens is not certain. But nonetheless, one way or another, He will judge us all. Have you prepared your children for that? Are you prepared?
“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:29-31
